A game. That was, of course, first thing on the human-turned-tree-kangaroo's mind. A large body of water with stones? What a perfect game to play. Hop from one to the next. Aurorial jumped onto the nearest stone, scrabbling a bit on it. "I claim this stone for my mom," she declared to no-one in particular. Then she eyed the next stone. Carefully, barely able to keep on her current rock, she leaped for it. Splashing and kicking wildly, she coughed but managed to pull her sodden-furred self upon this new rock. "Claim for my dad," she panted. The next stone was closer, in fact if she stretched she could pull herself across. She did so and smiled in triumph. This stone she declared for her sister, and the stone after was for herself. As she journeyed across, she claimed each stone for someone else she had known. Finally she made it to the other bank and stared at her claimed lands. Each stone she had hopped on was claimed for someone, but there were more stones to get to. And so, grinning, she resumed her silly stone-claiming game, all the while wishing these people she knew were with her, and she wasn't so terribly alone.
