A little something interesting had come up. Not recently mind you, but it was starting to be whispered about. A rumor here, a whisper there. No one really knew for sure what was being talked about. Some said someone had built something. Others said it was merely a natural cave. Still others, said someone was there.. A prophet. A murderer. Just a crazy fae. A savior. Surely, rumblings of this sort would attract the knowledgeable and weary? After all, what else was there to do with eternity? Some said they'd met an odd fae. Pale, dark blue fur and raven's feather black adorning her pelt. A jackal? No. Too odd.. Then again, those who knew better would see through that. This land, this land where time stood still. It changed those who stayed within it. This fae, had stayed.
A cave within a large tree stood within the Madidas wasteland. Out of the way, hidden in the mist and hard to find. Yet, it now had a name. Yes, the owner had named it. The Blood Berry Bordello. Odd name? She liked it. This tree was decorated with various things.. Around it, flowers from. Hell? Blood roses that grew near the river styxs. There was more. Aside them, silver roses. Heaven's hands which grew in heaven. A small garden. How did this barren land support these flowers? Hooks had been placed in the tree. From them, hung various things. Sometimes, bloodied heads of other animals. Watchers made their home on this dead tree. A group of deceased Ravens. They always watched, never spoke. Inside the tree? All the makings of a proper witch doctor's hut. Perhaps the rumors were true. Someone truly had made a living space in this barren land.
She was resting on a branch of the large tree. Humming softly. Talking to something. The watchers. She referred to them as friends. One of them sat upon her ear, preening the fur there. She would chuckle softly, carrying on a conversation with one of these strange birds. Yes, this was perfectly normal for this land. Was it not?

Fortune-teller. Seer. The souls in the crystals that formed the rocky ground of Purgatory had told him. He was the first of the Corrupted. He knew their voices well and he knew he could trust them. Valkoinen's large white head faced toward the 'cave' or whatever you would call it from atop a hill, as the stag of a herd would do when watching over his does. From his antlers hung a spider, who had made its home within the twining ivory of his antlers. "Go on, Valkoinen. See who this 'prophet' is. Show them the true meaning of belonging in Purgatory." The spider, his companion, going by the name of Myrkky, Finnish for 'poison' egged him on. Myrkky was quite the little devil and every day Valkoinen never failed to be surprised that he was here in this wasteland, and not in the fiery depths of hell.
"Yes, Myrkky. I suppose I should, shouldn't I? We can't have fools wandering around placing false hopes in these idiots brains." One bleach white hoof lifted from the surface and the large buck pushed off, walking slowly down the hill, appearing to almost glide as he moved. Myrkky retreated into his silky abode within Valkoinen's prongs to watch and observe as he most often did, settling down near the stag's ear to whisper tidbits of his thoughts and guidance as he went to meet whoever this was.
Atop a tree, he noticed movement, the movement of a mouth and the sounds of humming soon after reached his ears as his vision cleared to reveal an oddly colored jackal sitting in the dead branches. Much like Myrkky, he mused with a small smile. Snorting and stopping some feet from the jackal's tree, his low and menacing voice boomed "Are you the prophet of which the souls creating Purgatory speak?" He stared at the jackal with expressionless, dead eyes, the bone-like leg, warped by the mists scuffing on the ground impatiently as he blew out of his nose, nostrils flaring in a warning, leaning towards even a little bit of a threat.

The watchers only spoke to her. They told her of the happenings. The whispers. Not that she didn't already know of course. Long had she spent in this land. Never receiving judgement. Not for fear of it, but because it held no interest to her. Unlike everyone else, she enjoyed this reality. For those who say the whispers would drive one insane, they did not effect her. She was already insane. These whispers of fearful souls to her, were nothing more then a pleasant breeze. A few words came from her precious watchers. They spoke of a stag coming. Apparently, the first one who had come to these lands. He would appear. A threatening stance. Not that she minded. Threats, fights. Worthless in this land. As was posturing. Then again, in a land where all was nothing. Those who existed made their own somethings. She chuckled softly as she looked down at the Stag who had called her a prophet. It appeared, he too, had a watcher.. A spider. She could not see him, but it was easy to know. Her watches always told her.
"My my.. Mi amore, j adore, the crown less king has come to pay my humble abode a visit. I wonder, to what do I owe the pleasure? Oh, how beautiful, how wonderful.. My love extends to you mi amore j'adore."
She would say. Her own posture lazy. She didn't move from her tree. Her watchers simply stared at the stag. Save for the one who was picking bugs out of her fur for her. One look at her, and one knew she'd been her quite awhile. Her pelt's colors, her eyes. They gave that away. She smiled pleasantly enough. Her tone laced with a bit of seduction. An earring was in her right ear, and a small chain connected to it. It jingled softly as she moved her head.
"Prophet? So that's what mi amore's are calling me? How lovely, how absurd. How funny, how sad. I am not a prophet. I am a simple fortune teller. A seer who uses blood to give fortunes. This, is my humble abode. The Blood berry bordello."
She would say. One of the watchers would peck her softly on the head, and she would glance up as if listening to something that didn't speak. She'd then chuckle softly and nod, looking back down at the Stag before her.
"Mi amore, j'adore. Forgive me, I have not welcomed you properly. Welcome. Here, eternity is nothingness, and nothingness is eternity. I sell fortunes, I sell lies. I sell visions, I sell truths. Perhaps oh dear Valkoinen the crown less king, you have come for your fortune? For you mi amore, it will be free... Lost love? Your future? Or simply a goal you have yet to complete.. My fortunes my guide you or hinder you. They may lead you or lead you astray..."
Saying this, she would hope daintily down from the tree. The watcher on her ear staying there. Occasionally picking out a spider, flea, or a simple bug. She smiled and came closer to him, walking around him. Inspecting him, before standing in front of him.
"Alas my love, mi amore, j'adore.. We cannot be together. The sun and the moon can never rise together."
Said as she started to tend to the garden before the tree. One would have to ask how she had gotten these various plants to truly grow here.
"What do you say? Care to try? What harm can a bit of fortune telling truly do? Prophet, I am not. Gypsy, I may be.. Oh Crown less king, the first one to come here. The first to wander its hollowed walls of still stagnation."
She'd say, titling her head again with a smile.
"The blood in sleep it flows so sweet. A sample i'll need to see what there is to see."
She would finish.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,490,true] | [atrb=background,http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee500/lukari/02-5.png] Well that settled it. She wasn't a prophet or anything similar. In fact, Valkoinen was pretty sure she was just nuts. She blabbered on in strange tongues, talking about him being a crownless king, calling him her love. He snorted and raised a brow at her, as if to silently say 'what in the hell did you eat for breakfast?' Except...she knew his name. However it appeared as though, like him she had companions. Mrykky was the one who kept him informed, meaning he didn't get out much, and he certainly didn't attempt to make a name for himself. So how did she know who he was. "How do you know my name, dog?" He said in a guarded voice, one that revealed little but his trepidation towards her.
He watched her carefully as she leapt down from the tree and circled him, almost treating him like a piece of prey. His eyes narrowed until she stopped in front of him, and he barked out a harsh laugh at her words, "And what are you? The glorious shining sun, I suppose? If you hadn't noticed, there's no such thing here." He snorted again, his ears twitching as she spoke of reading his fortune through his blood. His deep voice rang out once more "And how am I supposed to know that this isn't some sort of plot for you to drain me dry?" He knew it could happen here. The afterlife was just as much of a life as their time spent on the Earth was. You could deteriorate and your soul could fade away. These bodies were just as flesh and just as carnal as their Earthly ones. And he had no intention of becoming part of Purgatory itself. Some said he was, but in all truthfulness, he was still his own self. Nothing and no one owned him. No one ever would either. And if this was Marie's scheme to become superior to him, he would make sure that it would fail. "Why don't you try it on one of your watchers, so I know you're not just trying to kill me?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p339/red612/bloodymariemiddle.jpg] Everything's a dream within a dream For one who had spent so long in this land, it seems perhaps, he didn't fully understand it. Not that she did either mind you. Her strange ways of speaking seemed to have thrown Valkoinen off his game. Interesting. Then again, nobody fully understood Marie. That, was just not possible. Save for those who were as crazy as she was. A solemn madness drove her to be certain, but there was method to the madness. It just took a special type of creature to even begin to grasp that method. Her ears flicked as he asked her how she knew his name. She chuckled softly and laid down, crossing her forepaws.
"Mi amore, je'adore.. How rude of me would it be to claim to love you and yet, not know your name?"
That, was probably the best answer he was going to get from her. Oh he was very uneasy with her. That was normal. Or perhaps it was not. Who was to say what normal was in this land? By the standards of all but heaven, she was perfectly normal. Her watchers had flocked around the tree. Though the one that had been picking pests off of her was not preening her neck. She let him speak. Surprisingly polite for one such as her. He called her the shining sun, and she smirked at this.
"I am the sun, I am the moon. I am light, I am darkness. I am everything, I am nothing at all. I am flesh, I am soul. I am what I am, and I am nothing more and nothing less."
Perhaps toying with him, or perhaps her way of explaining things for him. Either way, it only made sense if you read between the lines. He spoke of her fortune telling. Thinking she was scheming something apparently. Oh how cute. How ugly. He thought she wanted to kill him. Daring her to tell the fortune of one of her watchers. The birds seemed not bothered by this at all. The five crows simply preened themselves while the Ravens stared intently at him. One, focused on his horn where the spider was. She tilted her head at him. That sly smile never fading.
"Does the crownless king fear a mere fortune teller? How laughable, how saddening.. How melancholic, how ecstatic!."
She would say before waving a paw. One of her watchers would bring a bag out of her tree, putting it in front of her. She would open it, revealing.. Three, what appeared to be bowls. Next, she would bring out a small flask of water. She set it down by the bowls, sitting up with a smirk.
"I could very well tell the fortunes of my watchers. My words, they have already heard. I ask you mi amore, je'adore.. Shall you let your afterlife be filled with fear of even a simple fortune teller? I am but a humble jackal. What harm can I do to you? A few drops of blood, and i'll see what you cannot. What little Mrykky cannot see as well."
She would say with a soft laugh, looking at one of his antlers. So, she knew of the spider too.
"To see, or not to see.. The choice is simply yours my sweet. My love extends to all that lives, and never shall I be loved back.. You however, mask your needs with a facade.. Of what, the blood will tell.. So then, as I say to all. Wayward Soul, open a wound and let it flow."
She would say, sitting now before the three small bowls, pouring a bit of water into the first one. Past, present, and future. Each was a possible answer. Lies, or truths.
