It was a beautiful, sunny summer day in the forest as young tree wolves could be seen playing high up while their parents were busy hunting and preserving food for the winter months. This was the forest of the tree wolves, which had been unusually peaceful and free of predators lately. The main predators were the dragons, which could swoop down from the sky quickly and gobble a few up before they even noticed. This fear meant that there were always wolves up at the top doing the risky job of watching the skies and trying to keep from being eaten.
Today was Kyureki's first turn on the job, and she was taking the southern watch. Thankfully, the sky was clear as she scanned the skyline back and forth, seeing nothing once more. It wasn't hard work like hunting was, but it was incredibly boring since most of the time nothing happened. Sure, dragons did attack a lot, but outside of that, it was just staring at the sky for hours on end. At least she had other things to entertain her, though, since she had psychic powers, an unusual power for her normally nature magic-based species. She could see what others were doing without looking at them, and use it to enhance her spotting abilities once she learned enough. Of course, it did distract her, but she didn't feel it was that important right now since absolutely nothing was going on.
She was wrong, though, as a roar echoed from afar and she brought her mind back to focus. Zooming quickly for her pack was a dragon coming from her direction. She called out to everyone, but they had already heard. She wanted to run down the tree as fast as possible, but she knew it was her duty as one of the watch to keep the dragon distracted as the young tree wolves got to safety.
Using her psychic powers, she turned herself and her fellow watchers invisible, though doing so was very taxing on her mind. They used this temporary advantage to start launching rocks at it, aiming at the wings, the most sensitive part of the dragon. A few hit it, causing it to descend as pain coursed through it, taxing Kyureki's magic. She couldn't hold it up much longer, maybe a minute more, before it finally did collapse, the pain overloading her. Feeling very tired, she collapsed herself onto the branch she was on just as the dragon was coming down onto the forest.
She didn't know what hit her as it crashed into several trees, toppling the one she was in as she jumped from it, grasping for a branch on a tree that was still standing. She fell a long distance, but finally a branch came along that her tail could grasp onto. She panted even harder now, looking left, then right, then froze as she stared at the sight. Right in front of her was the dragon's muzzle, its hot breath coming out and covering her in steam. She couldn't move a muscle as she counted the seconds she had left until she would be eaten, for there was no way she could escape. It was huge, as long as a tree was tall minus the tail, and she knew it could corner her easily. She just closed her eyes as she saw it open his, taking her last breaths as she felt its wet breath from its mouth wash over her, before she fainted as it snapped her up.
She awoke with a start, expecting to feel the intense heat of the dragon's stomach, but instead surprised to feel a sharp cold. She could feel the shape of a branch underneath herself, and as she opened her eyes, the first thing she noticed was that she was in a forest, but not her forest. Her confusion was compounded further as she saw the changed coloring of her muzzle, and looked down to see her body was changed as well. She just gasped as she saw that she no longer had her long tail to grab onto things and that her handpaws were now just ordinary paws. From the look of it she was now a fox, but that made no sense since she lived her whole life as a tree wolf, she was a tree wolf.

No leader, no god, no choice and no luck can be found to make things fair. Life held consequences and unfortunate events none of us could avoid. Zane had been living a life he couldn't call more than perfect when alive on Earth. Despite her strange disappearance, to Zane he had found a beautiful mate he could connect with better than most. However Aeva suddenly was missing in action after the Cesaru battles, as startling as that was, Zane always reassured himself that she would return any day. Serena on the other hand had gained a big belly of Dragunov's pups. Zane was happy for her, as she birthed two young beautiful pups. The expected of Serena leaving to raise them in a safe area was fine with Zane. But when a few others began to drop out, Zane hardly seen many of the other Warriors, and suddenly he felt rather alone at the round table, empty as no one came anymore. Maybe he was really just a bad Commander...
But to his demise, Zero and Dragunov appeared one evening. The initial thought was relief that there were Warriors still by his side. But that thought never fully sunk in as the two white demons clearly had different intentions. Zero had grabbed him first, Drago and Zero took turns practically torturing him. He remembered the feeling of his unhealed broken leg begin gnawed at. He remembered the feeling of his warm innards being ripped away from him. He remembered his warning call to the Realm, only ... nobody heard it. The thought saddened him. Zane felt as if he failed the whole island. It would be after that Zero and Drago take over the Realm and eventually lead Traum into a war that ends its fate. If only some body had heard him....
Yet that was the past, he was here, reborn into Heaven where he knew he belonged. Ever since Zane would remember-- the day he woke up to Serena's strong eyes, his heart longed to protect Traum and the wolves among it. He was a wolf to his word and a strong character to break. And as the sky held up a lovely blue color, the sound of birds chirping, Zane took in a greedy breath of air. He exhaled and quickened his pace to simply look around. Heaven. The word felt so weird on his tongue, but he smiled despite himself. He was alive again and something bubbled in his blood that he wasn't the only Traum wolf here.
Approaching some tree's his golden eyes glanced around what was around him. His eyes stopping on a small fox like creature among the tree's. His head reared back to the side, curiosity getting the best of him. The small fox looked confused, and sort of lost. And Zane felt like he was Serena, looking at himself back on that fateful day when she found him waking up from his coma. With a charming smile, Zane got closer and looked up the branches. "What're you doing up there?" He added with a bit of sarcasm and a happy smile. This was heaven, he felt like expressing how happy he was to be breathing again, and heaven creatures weren't bound to snap with evil remarks, would they?
ooc; LOL okay im SO tired, so sorry if the post is weird or something. Plus it's been a long time since I've roleplayed Zane so whew, there we go ^^ <3

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,361,true] | [atrb=background,http://i45.tinypic.com/28sv441.jpg] The air was warm, as it always way in heaven, for the land was always blessing her inhabits with simple pleasures like this. The peaks' forest was abundant with life, for for here was predator and prey, only peace between the species. It was an unspoken law, for though the hunters still hunted and the prey still hid, here was somewhat of a truce, for they were at the highest spot in Heaven, and somehow here they tried to please the gods more than anywhere. It was just how it was, as the way of life was mysterious and the ways of death even more strange, because you didn't have to work as hard to please. You just accepted that you were reborn into a better place, no matter how lonely it may seem at first.
Zira's light paws were graceful, and she swore she could feel the ground breath beneath her, inhaling and exhaling as she did. The small rise and fall of her chest was met by the earth and wind. The whispers of the leaves beckoned Zira with a calmness she knew so well. The breeze twisted and twined through her fur, and Zira smiled with all her heart because this was sincere peace, a serenity she had not felt in a long time. Memories of her living days, with her family and her friends, her pack and herself were all overwhelming, but it passed as the cool airy winds took the pain away from her momentarily. She kept walking, like she always had, because to grieve was to regret and Zira did not regret.
Zira's emerald eyes grazed the land, the only visible emotion a small curiosity. Something in the land felt... Confused and whatever it was had traveled to her unwillingly. Zira's pawsteps were light, and graceful for her small body was trained to be cautious by movement. Soon, Zira saw a figure that looked much like her; Not to large in size, with mixes of golds and browns painting his coat. Zira smiled, because somewhere deep down she recognized this and it made her happier, reminded her of such good times.
Zira approached with a small, friendly smile played on her lips. Then she heard his voice followed her gaze, and she cocked her head at the sight; There was a fox in the tree, looking scared and so confused. She didn't seem to know where she was, let alone what she was. Zira's head was bent back as she met the creature's eyes, and Zira smiled symphathetically. "Are you alright, love?" Zira asked, concern in her voice and after, she chuckled lightly. This was certainly not something you see everyday.

Kyureki was starting to panic as the identity crisis she was experiencing started to really set in. She could feel nothing around her, this world was a blank slate as far as her psychic powers were concerned, as if nothing was really there. Her other senses told her this tree was as solid as any, though, and as her ears swivelled, she could hear the chattering of squirrels from some hole in the tree. There were creatures here, but she just couldn't sense them, she had lost her psychic powers on top of everything else. She was not whole anymore, she was a shell of her former self, and her breathing got heavier thinking of what would happen to her in the future.
Kyureki took a deep breath as she noticed the panic attack coming on, trying to keep calm. If she had learned anything from her past life and her psychic powers, it was how to recognize her feelings and stop them before they overflowed into another being. Tree wolves were always known to have trouble controlling their powers when they were young, but due to the nature of hers, extra precautions ha to be done. If she had been left to develop like the others, her occasional anger that all teenagers felt could've caused another tree wolf to attack someone.
Trying to calm herself, and to keep from going crazy with confusion, she decided to focus less on what she had become, and more on the forest around her. She took another deep breath, closing her eyes and focusing on the movements of the air around her. She let her thoughts drift into the wind, she was the wind, drifting to places she didn't know about or care about. The wind was chaos, and the wind was peaceful while living with the chaos therefore she could be peaceful too.
However, the thoughts of confusion still nagged at her as she opened her eyes again, and she felt the weight of the world come back. It was at about this time that she heard two voices from below on the ground. Looking down, she could see two wolves, who she assumed were the owners of those voices, one standing a bit farther behind and to the side of the other. The wolf that stood farther behind caught her eye, and she could feel sympathy coming from it, but she closed her eyes as a chill ran down her spine. She had a fear of wolves, since they were always so much bigger than herself and could end her life quickly when on the ground... especially now...
She could see them waiting for a reply from her as she got up on the branch she was on, carefully since she wasn't used to the shorter toes on her new paws. Deciding to answer both questions at once, she snapped, "I'm as alright as someone who changed from a tree wolf to a... whatever type of fox this is, could be." She immediately took back her words, taking yet another deep breath, before continuing. "Sorry, it's just been a frustrating hour for me. I guess I died didn't I?" She looked down at them, deciding to descend a few branches with lackluster grace. At least this was easy enough, but she didn't want to get too close, and she still stayed out of their reach just in case.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,429,true] | [atrb=background,http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee500/lukari/02-17.jpg] Zane let his chest settle down as he tried to listen carefully to what was going on up there. He could practically smell the fear and confusion coming off the creature above him. He quickly wanted to take back his sarcastic words. Clearly this fox was petrified and his cocky friendly tone wasn't what it needed. And as large thick brown ears forced themselves back, he quickly realized what the creature needed, as another wolfess approached. Her call to the other was so soft, so pristine-- it made Zane shiver with some nostalgic feeling. He hated not being able to grasp his memories before waking up on Earth. He shifted his weight on his right leg, feeling the phantom numbness there from his prior shattered leg on Earth.
Startled as to the wolfess appearing so quickly and gracefully, his large stance shivered as he realized he lost control of the situation. He knew his senses had once lost him but they were back now, perhaps young and needing training again. The fox creature responded to this other wolfess' words, probably more than Zane's question of the same thing. "Sorry, it's just been a frustrating hour for me. I guess I died didn't I?" It was then Zane realized he had been staring at the wolfess. She had the same color and pattern of Zane's coat, everything about her seemed similar in a sense that it gave Zane a headache. However she had electric green eyes that left him breathless. But he felt a stir in his head as he refocused on the little fox. His prior attitude returning.
"Indeed, you did. I'd imagine you're still a tree wolf at heart, look at ye self." Zane boasted a large smile as he tried to add humor to the new situation. In his past life he knew everyone, however this was heaven with multiple creatures and species he hardly seen before. The feeling of living in Heaven was a strange weight in his heart, but for the moment-- he wanted to be carefree, and breath in the fresh heavenly air as he appreciated the fact that he was alive! It appeared this other wolfess had that grasp, her angelic happy aura was contagious, meanwhile Zane hoped this little fox fella would realize that too. His large stubborn head rolled as he felt something grasp at his heart for longing when he looked at the wolfess once more. Something was barking in his mind about her.
ooc; haha Zira makes me ooc happy too~
