I think having a host would be a good idea. Maybe have two hosts though? One for each fighter or one for each side if it is a 2 on 2 fight. With two hosts, they can also switch out say if only one host would do the introduction per fight. The two hosts would have to foil each other though, but work together well to hype the crowd. I also imagine having some seductive character laying out the prizes. xD I think after a while once reputations in the ring develop, the prizes and losses could be higher stakes though, for the intensity.

I really think there should be a Hell Hound or two present. The characters in the thread can note their presence sitting up in their special little VIP section haha. At least, I imagine them to have good seats no?

Before the fights, what we could do is set up a bracket for characters to take a look at. It would also make betting go higher and smoother easier before the fight should watching characters like to make a bet on how the entire ordeals will turn out. That way, we could have a thread with characters discussing and hyping up the Colosseum rights...and maybe having some drugs or slaves bought. ;D

OKAY OKAY, we need two hosts- preferably two hot shots that represent random fighters to make them look good (like lawyers? rofl) anyways and a beautiful prize lady~~ I'm thinking a leopard or something? That's just what I'm seeing right now xD IF SOMEONE MAKES A HOST OR THE PRIZEKITTY, YOU'LL GET CLOUDS eh? any takers? eh? I believe I'll be making a host, because I think I have a good grasp on what is going on and only have Malice in the tournament.

I'll be making a tournament bracket once the thing starts. & Hellhounds will be present! They are tal...... just look here for a reference ^^ I'll be making god / guardian descriptions very soon!

I need help deciding who is against who, however if I don't get suggestions right away, I will choose it myself! Plus we are uneven, so there will be NPCS thrown in once needed. Kapeesh?

I think we should go with Vampy's VIP section idea. There are always a few characters that just want to show off, and of course Drago and Dag would put it to good use.

And since we're trading slaves and brawling, why not make a sport of it? Make it so characters can purchase slaves and train them up as gladiators to compete in the arena. If their contestants win, they get more slaves, drugs, whatever. If they lose, then they have to pay up likewise. Other characters would be able to bet on the fights and of course we have all sorts of plots involving backstabbing, bribery, etc that will open up.



Dragunov, for example, could invest in a few able bodied slaves, Dagonet trains them up. They put their gladiators into the ring, win a few fights and accumulate more slaves. It draws lost of attention to the rebellion and potential soldiers come flooding in.

Memphis could do likewise and then you have a nice, bloody rivalry in the making with each of them trying to flex, strut, and kick more ass than the other to swell their ranks.

Which ties back into Vampy's idea for VIP sections, of course.

As for fights...I would say just try to keep the rebellion wolves from facing off for as long as possible since most of the contestants are there flexing for Drago lol.

I like the idea of the little brackets, a big announcement just before the fight where team-members can meet other team-members and have little heated arguments. Such as little persuasions before the battle on who is going to win, a little taunting going on. As for the talk of drugs/ slaves/ so on, some people such as Lilltu and Redrum (from what I gathered) are in for the blood-fest and not so much as the rewards. If they were to lose, they would have to become the slave/gladiator of the winners. The only way to break out of their control is to win a fight against the captor?

Another idea would be some sort of .. event.. later on in the colleseum as sank in and it's rank has grown. Definately thinking of some sort of monster blood-bath as the trainers pick their best gladiators and throw them in a ring against... 'the beast'.. after all, whoever said they had to fight one another? The idea of beating a hell beast would be cool.

I think it doesn't really matter if the participants are in the fights for the blood, glory, or prizes. The main point is that... while there would be some mixing of random fighters in it for the blood and some forced into the fight as slaves, there would still be reputations building. Interesting fighters, notable trainers/owners of slaves, etc. You know?

I LOVE your idea of a hell beast, but I think that definitely should not be an everyday thing and somewhat of a grand finale. c:

But on the other hand.... I'm not really fond of that idea of having the loser be the other person's slave. I liked Lulu's idea of being sent into some shitty lands better. Because... personally, it doesn't seem fair to me for people to have their character's becoming slaves at this point because before, that isn't what we signed up for or a condition that was established. For example, I have Zero, should he lose, I will throw a fit if we decided to make losers slaves. Also, I think having a mix of battle participants, slaves and not slaves would be good. Sooner or later, if we have this idea of the loser having slaves, we may end up with more slaves than people would be willing to play, if you know what I mean. It kind of closes plot opportunities too...because if you go that way, you don't have room for the other plots that can come out of the results of a loss. But you can still make the stakes one participants become a slave if they lose outside the rules and regulations through betting. Does that make sense?

I honestly think that not forcing slavery in this manner is the way to go. I don't mean to shoot your idea down or anything. Its always good to bring up new ideas that haven't been mentioned. ^ ^ I just personally...REALLY dislike that proposal, nothing personal to you. ;b Not sure how everyone else would feel on it though.

I like the idea there ACEface, but as Vampy said-- we're using top notch wolves who all either are in it for the hell of it, or there to dominate. The only one I see accepting your said fate would probably be Malice, because he is loyal like that. Otherwise the others would such as Zero, would probably (not lose) but probably go rampant and kill everyone cause he's pissed... rofl (just for example I mean, ahem)

Anyways IM SETTING THIS UP NOW. SO LISTEN UP.

First is qualifications, in which I find this kind of stuff very confusing for me. Some of you might want to take the long road with this, or do it so we're using brackets. In this case, we're saying that your wolves have come out on top and made it to finals after winning against NPC's! The NPC's that your characters beat are now out in the middle of no where suffocating, starving and lost. Yay. NOW that y'all are in the finals, prizes are bigger, stakes are higher and competition is harder~

I used a computerized generator for the brackets. So it works like a real tournament. We'll say the places are how long it took your character to beat the NPC. Feel free to make up details about your NPC later on also. So we're starting,,, a thread in the Colosseum made with the title like so:: TOURNAMENT -- glen vs. coco

the moment, you've all been waiting for.

With that, LET THE TOURNAMENT BEGIN ,,,,,, however I haven't figured out how the hosts/prizekitty are gonna fit in there yet. They will throw themselves in to mess around between replies to mix things up, not affecting your characters posting or anything. Currently Vampy is the prizekitty character and myself plays a Host. I will also be making little references to the Hellhounds and prizes waiting your characters, making bets for your characters ETC. so yeah, don't sweat it. Rather worry about finally being able to start this, if you'd like of course. And WE COULD change around the tournament bracket, but I like it being ranked like a real tournament would-- unless you beg to differ. Realize THERE HAS TO BE LOSERS, some characters that are more experienced and with better techniques are gonna win. I'm sorry if your main loving character looses, but guess what-- it's a fake tournament, so go cry about your characters ego else where if your's doesn't win (;

I'm all set, Dragunov is ready to win at all costs Even if he has to beat around a couple of his own lackies to get what he wants. He's all about the show, the presence he makes in the tournaments and how they might attract potential new soldiers and fanatical into their midst.

So we can start whenever now? o: And can other characters come into that thread as observers (as long as they don't tie up the competition at all; i.e. we wouldn't have to wait on their replies to continue on and whatnot).

Zero may give Dragunov a little run for his money then haha. Should they ever face off, that would surely be one helluva battle. I think that we need to figure out how this hosting thing will be played out. As far as I see, Lulu says she got a host and they'll come in at the start of the thread and intermediately jump in with commentary maybe. Prize kitty will be near the beginning and end of things I assume, but I may put her in the middle a little because she has reactions to the fights too. :3
